If you ship a game with these little guys, you have my respect.

An AI drew all 64 of these itself — not converted, not downscaled, but placed pixel by pixel on a 32x32 grid while looking at AI-generated reference sheets. They came out chunky and cheerful, and every one of them walks. The reference art is in the zip too, so you can see what it was looking at. Pay what you want.

64 creatures · 32 px · front / side / back · walk 4+4+4 · idle 4+4 · attack 3+3 · hurt 2+2 · reference art included

  • Editor files — a Pixelorama .pxo project per creature (33 tagged frames) and an Aseprite-style sheet PNG + JSON (frames, frameTags) that Aseprite, Godot, Phaser and Unity importers read
  • reference/ — the turnaround sheet each sprite was drawn from (walk strips for the first 64, plus the full illustration for 23 of them)

  • index.csv — creature, id, file, kind

Update 1.4 — back walk

Every creature now also walks away from you: walk-back-01..04 (same rhythm as the front walk). Sheet is 33 frames.

Update 1.3 — idle, attack and hurt for every creature

Each creature now has a 4-frame idle (breathing), a 3-frame attack (wind-up, lunge, recover) and a 2-frame hurt (flash, knock-back), for both side and front. Same 32x32 grid, same anchor.

Update 1.1 — 20 new creatures

Skeleton Warrior, Zombie, Mummy, Ghoul, Mushroom Man, Living Armor, Banshee, Earth Elemental, Lightning Elemental, Slime King, Wolf, Bear, Boar, Giant Rat, Bat, Beetle, Wasp, Mantis, Kraken, Giant Crab. Same grid, same walk, same family look.

Files

Take only what you need, or the "everything" zip.

  • pngsprites/<creature>/ with front, side, back, walk-side/front/back-01..04, idle, attack, hurt and sheet.png, plus index.csv
  • aseprite-sheets<creature>.png + <creature>.json per creature
  • pixelorama<creature>.pxo per creature
  • reference — the AI reference art per creature (turnaround, walk strips, illustration where there is one)
  • preview-x4 — 32px sprites scaled 4x for mockups
  • everything — all of the above in one zip

How it was made

Reference sheets generated with an image model, then every sprite drawn from scratch on a 32x32 grid by an AI, pixel by pixel, using shared body plans so all 64 walk to the same rhythm. They share one outline and one set of proportions, so any of them mix in a single scene.

Format

PNG with transparent background, 1px dark outline, 7-12 colours per creature. Side sprites face right — flip for left. Walk cycles bob 1 px on the passing frames, so anchor at bottom-centre. Floating creatures (elementals, spirits, ghosts, fish, insects with wings) hover instead of walking; the mimic, frog and toad hop; the spider, scorpion, ant and centipede alternate legs.

Licence

Pay what you want. Commercial use allowed — put them in a game you sell. Redistributing or reselling the sprites or the reference art themselves is not allowed. Full terms in LICENSE.txt.
